Nice frame and I like the build , and I can see why the seller would like €800. It's probably close to what they put into it in time and money.

Whether it is worth it to you is entirely up to you.

I don't know where your post went, willroy , but no, i don't recognize the bottle cages. They are a nice finishing touch, added by someone who had a clear vision of what this bike should look like. I like them a lot, and would look for something similar.

In the meantime, the King Iris cage would be an acceptable placeholder, I think, should you need one. Or two.

Anyway the kings were tempting - thanks. but i perservered and found them "moreo inox" they dont make the exact same but now with a plastic attachment but my suspicion is that i can just remove that and it'll be the same underneath. So ordered one to try

Anyway, thanks for the name of those cages. And it does look like those colored inserts are indeed removable. I agree they do look better without them.

Well 7 more posts to go and I'll throw up some more images. Confirmed its the same holder with this nice faded metallic, goes very well with the bike and very light too.

I have been trying to dig around for the model and I think its a 1991 full pro roadracer, decals were removed from the frame but I also notice "Drouwen" on the frame, a town in NL it seems.

The frame in the picture looks to be a 'Carbolite' item. They were introduced in 1989 for the FullPro, and trickled down to other models in later years. I don't know whether those were the exact same frames. Perhaps Elev12k or one of the other Koga-Miyata specialists can enlighten us on the subject?

Hi everyone! After just purchasing my first vintage bike, I stumbeled upon this post. Great reads, some of you have clearly put a ton of work in it for readers such as myself to enjoy. When I can, I will post some pictures of the Koga Miyata 1984 Flyer I just found. It’s had only one previous owner, is in original condition and still riding smoothly. I will take it apart and clean it, already found the missing brake lever for a few euros. Thank you for providing so much information in one place, I will defenitely keep track of this post. Thought I'd revive this thread a little. I bought this bike for 200 EUR off a student who was using it as a city bike a couple years ago. It sat in my basement since then. I only recently got to start working on it. Took it apart completely, including all bearings and thoroughly cleaned it. All parts are original except the pedals, which I got as old new stock online, the saddle, and the brake hoods. As far as I can gather, it's a 1981 Pro racer, full Dura Ace. Cleaned up really well, except for a minor dent on the top tube and the decals somewhat damaged. I love riding it. It really flies!

This was my first restoration. What do you think?

Very good restoration. Another true story of My Fair Lady.

I had a 1982 Team Miyata with Dura Ace EX like yours.
Because Peter Winnen won l'Alpe d'Huez stage 1981 Tour de France riding Koga-Miyata.
I still remember clearly his stage victory excited us Japanese cyclists.

I'll take a look tomorrow but know the LiteAce model name was used from 1997 until at least 2013, maybe even later.
Yours looks like a fairly pristine example. Usually it's enough to compare colour schemes to the bike you have.

Ok, thanks. If you can't tell from the picture, it is dark blue/silver in color with twin down tubes. Alloy frame, nexus 8 speed, roller brakes front and rear.
