Here's the 1990-99 Bianchi Catalogs if you want to look through them. I'm not sure if they include MTBs or not:

Hello and welcome to the forums!! Where are you and the bike? What components are on it? There isn't a name like Silka?, Werewolf? Ibex? Jackalope?
Pics? You should be able to upload them to your album and we can see them, or you can email me a few BianchiGirLL@yahoo.com

I just emailed the photos but to answer your other questions. There arent any bike names on the bike. Part of me wonders if there is a name under the Edizione Speciale sticker but I dont want to remove that to test it! As for components I can ID GripShift 1's, Rear Derailer says Shimano A, Front derailer and cranks just say Shimano.
Thanks
Andrew

abikequest where is the bike? I don’t think it’s anything special, we’re the catalogs in the link helpful? You could try Bikepedia and look for models like Kodiak, Timberwolf, Nyala and see if something matches up
This Carnes sticker looks like something Bianchi probably put on all the mountain bikes that year

I think you have a ‘98 Timber Wolf. The crank could have been a running change or replaced by a previous owner
Assuming the bike was purchased in the US.
