Fuji Royale price?
Hi guys, looking to buy this: newyork craigslist org/brk/bik/d/brooklyn-fuji-royale/7748382578.html
Thoughts? Managed to talk the seller down to 150. Gonna be mostly just going to the gym and back pretty short ride, want something that won't get stolen.

It's not really 'ready to ride' both tires look flat and it needs a lot of cleaning. Can you do the work to maybe put new tubes in it and clean all the gunk off of it? the rear brake cable needs some attention too. Probably should have aprofessional tuneup.

Yeah I’d pass at $150. Doesn’t look like it’s had an easy life and I’d expect it to need a fair bit of work. Plus it’s not a particular high end bike to begin with.
Edit: Also has an incompatible derailleur, mounted rather sketchily. Based on the replacement derailleur, wheel, and broken dork disk, I’d guess the original derailleur went into the spokes and bent the hanger. Double pass.

+10 thieves steal anything.
+10 this bike is not ready to ride.
I wouldn't pay $50 for it.

A lot of bike theives also steal bike for their personal transportation. They just flip the bars, "Hobo" style, and it's ready to ride for them.
A bike like that moderately beat up ajd "Frankensteined" Fuji is ideal for theives because it will also not attract that much attention and they might assume the owner will not think it will be worth trying to recover it.
You might be better off finding an older big box store, Chinese made, no-name bike that will be cheaper, so if it get's stolen, you will be out less tan the 150 bucks that this Fuji will cost you.
BTW, factor in repairs to get it rideable, for your final cost.....

Fugedahboutit. Besides the junk replacement rear derailleur, those are not the original wheels. Those pedals also don't belong on it. Keep looking.
