HI
Bought the Le Mond Zurich new many years ago but can't remember the exact year. Can anyone give me an idea of what
year this bike was produced and a rough value? Info as much as I have: Frame: Reynolds 853, Colours: Blue/Silver, Size: 53cm -
women's? Handlebars: Cintelli. Front der: Shimano Ultegra, Rear Der: Shimano 600

wish I could include a photo but as a newbie guess not

Cheers for the help.

Here is a chart showing the years Zurichs were made with 853 ( and 853 Pro after 2000). Earlier models had a blue/silver fade, later blue/silver had crisp color transition. Not sure about NZ market, in the US a private sale might be $300. Good luck.

Circa 2000 Zurich's in good-excellent condition will get $7-800 USD.

If it looks like this...

...I believe that's a 1997 model.

I had one of these as my first "real" road race bike. It was originally equipped with Ultegra 8sp. It's one of the few bikes that I still regret selling.

As a price comparison, I bought one about 6 months ago for $425 for my son.

Thanks for the info

I think mine is the 1998…I’m thinking to sell it as I haven’t ridden it in years, but may give it a tune up and change my mind!

IMHO - if you still ride, its a bike worth keeping and riding often.

My 2001 takes 28mm tires. That coupled with how buttery smooth the frame is = a great riding machine. One that is just as fast as my modern bikes. And its stiff - I can't feel any frame flex when doing hill sprints.

It's just a flat out good bike.
