Fenders under caliper brakes

Got a set of Planet Bike Hardcore 45mm cheap from Offer Up for my project.
The frame is a Nishiki Tri-A that got modified to fit a 700x32c tires - moved the rear brake bridge 5mm up, bosses for fender and racks, and got a powder coat.
I used to have the Crud MK3 on it, but it doesn't fit under the calipers and gets pretty messy around.

Very small clearance, around 5 to 6mm between the tire and caliper and brake bridge.

Some 3M electrical tape to cover the cut parts. Hope I don't need to do too much re-taping here

Then spent some more 2 hours trying on front that has much less clearance - probably something like 3mm.
Tried to replace tires to some Conti GP4SII 28c, that should be around 29-30mm but still didn't work.
So, front will go with Crud MK3 that provides an ok coverage.

That was my fun project for the long weekend

Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
As far as the front fork crown clearance. I remember seeing examples of fender cut straight across and a hanger added so that the front was mounted to the front of the fork crown and the aft portion aft of the fork crown.

All I could find on my quick search was this tiny thumbnail:

there actually was a set of fenders that had that extender arm that could be adjusted to allow for a road bike to have full fenders.
with that said, I use the fenders that rubber band onto the forks (front and back) and found they work fine.
