Umm...
30 mph Max Speed on flats
20 mph average over 20 miles
Climb my local secret death climb
I'm actually fairly close on the first two, the climbs I'm still way off.

Hey TJ, my only goal was to join a Cycling Club, which I have achieved already I thought this would encourage me to ride more and just be able to meet more people with the same interests. So far it has worked

Then again, one's goal may be to not have any goals

I just bought a road bike about 2 months ago and my first goal was to complete a century, I thought it was going to take a lot longer than it did. As of last Saturday I have completed that goal, with a not too bad time of 5hrs and 40minutes. I am now searching for another goal, maybe one that is a lot more difficult.
I guess to hang with the fast group on the grop rides would be a good goal!

My current biking goal for the summer is to do a round trip from my house that climbs to Mt Mitchell, come back down and then climbs to Mt. Pisgah and then back down to home. I think this will be around 140 miles or so, but the kicker will be all the climbing. Hope to be strong enough in July to do this, after that I'll reevaluate a couple other goals I have been contemplating.

After a huge stuffing of Eggs Benny, Shrimp and Roast Beef, we toured the sites around Banff and went hiking at Lake Louise.
I hit the trip computer on our car at Lake Louise when we left for home. Lake Louise is exactly 200 km from my house. So,
Goal #3 Ride 200km from Lake Louise to home in June in preparation for the Double Century.

Goals for summer 2006:
Ride 3 times per week after work plus one ride 50 miles or longer on the weekends.
Ride two centuries a month until September.
Get my resting heart rate back below 45.
Survive the Bay-in-a-day double century.

One goal that I've had was to complete a solo round-trip metric century in less than three hours and I accomplished that last week. So do I now up the ante and try a solo round-trip century in less than 5 hours? That sounds harder.

Hmmm...interesting goals...
Mine:
1. Drop another 20 lbs (40 total, from 215 to 175)
2. Turn my 'calves' into 'cows' by sprinting the hills I normally spin up.
3. Taco my crap wheels so I can justify to my accountant (wife) that I need better ones.
4. Funny, I could care less about a century...I'm a 50 mile kinda guy. But do THAT in less than 3 hours, with big 'ole hills.
5. Ride at least once with a local club.

Get back ON the bike first and foremost... Been injured/sick/etc. for the last 2-ish years. Get a week or so of good rides under my belt and something happens. Most recently it was an ankle roll two sundays ago that's keeping me limping.
Grrrrrr
Looking forward to moving at the end of the month! I'll be within riding distance of the office again!!

Thanks man, that was not the intent... There are so many nice rigs here I was inspired
Nice job on the Banff Lake Louise Mothers Day. My Family loves that area and we try to spent some time each summer camping out there and at Jasper. I have Back Country camped and Hiked that area extensively and just love it!
You are fortunate to live so close, that I truly envy!

1) Compete in at least 5 more races of any type
2) Climb Loma Vista in my 23 tooth cog without tacking, stopping, or pulling off onto side streets to do circles
3) Build another bike (this one is going to be annual, I think)
