How many bikes do you own?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How many bikes do you own?

I have 2. Although I gave my mongoose to my wife when I got my Trek 1000. I ask because I've noticed alot of members here have alot of bikes. That's so cool. I have a total of 5 bikes in my garage but 3 belong to the kids.
So how about the rest of you.

Three road, three mountain. Two have to go. Skinny tires prevail.

You mean...now?

Five. 2.8 of which are currently rideable. The 'horse and the "55/Rad" Trek are rideable. "Giordie" is waiting for the wheels to be returned from Mike Garcia after a rebuild - hence the .8

The other two are the infamous Tete project and the soon-to-be infamous Pinarello project.

Wow. Looks like you like the vintage bikes. I would be afraid of buying one that I thought was good and then find out I had a lemon. I'm all for the classics, I just don't know enough about them. I gotta educate myself.

Let me count.....mmm.....ONE!!! The love of my life (Disclaimer: besides my wife, kids, mom, dad, etc.). 2001 steel LeMond Maillot Jaune. Carries me far and wide.

Edit: Are we asking how many BIKES do we own or how many bikes do we own? My family has 6 bikes but I have one BIKE.

Three for me, two for my son, and one each for my wife and daughter. That's after we gave away all the old cheap ones.

6.25 (Using the 55/Rad scoring)

1 = Trek 5000
2 = Litespeed Tuscany
3 = Sprinter 10 Speed Racer (Gas Pipe Special)
4 = Norco Magnum SE 12 Speed Racer (on loan to my BiL) My first Quality Road Bike
5 = Rocky Mountain Wedge MTB
6 = GT Karakoram K2 Commuter
.25 = Colnago Master in the works

9.25 = House Hold Total, there are 3 more bikes in the family all MTBs

Botto, I hope they find your bike, That sucks, (or not) depending on how attached you were to it... Insurance can be a good thing sometimes

and I bought a Guerciotti cross frame, not put together, and I am debating on if i need a Cervelo tt bike .
