Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bianchi Freccia Celeste Opinions

Does anyone have a first hand experience with the Freccia Celeste frameset?

I'm about to pull the trigger and wanted to look for some feedback. It would be my race bike.

I have one, which I just replaced with a new Orbea Orca. Mine is a size 53, I am 5'10" with a 31 inch inseam, and found the size to be a little small for me. Overall, I think the frame is very well made, stiff and it rides well. The paint job is also excellent. I have about 6000 miles on mine, and other than needing the next larger size, (entirely my fault) I had no problems with it. It handles very well at high speeds, I went 50 mph on it once decending Mount Cheaha, and it was very solid. I would not hesitate to buy the frame if it fits you. I also have a friend who I ride with alot, and he has one, which he loves his. Good luck with it.
