haha. tink that is awesome.
my tattoo artist tattooed a band-aid onto a finger that got cut off. the photos are pretty hilarious, but nothing can compare to being there while it was done. the guy is in construction is a very funny person. knowing him made that tattoo better than any picture could ever be.
i imagine getting a fingernail tattooed on your nub takes about the same sense of humor.

One ****ing sitting. Got in to the shop at 11:30am. Finished drawings and made stencils. Placed stencils, drew freehand, got situated. Started outline at 3:30. Took a break to re-draw some freehand (my artist is a nut and decided to change things a little on the cage). Finish outline at about 6. Dinner break. Start colour at 6:30. Go until midnight. Second food break. Tattoo the **** out of my arm until 6am. Many pee breaks taken, and even had to massage my artists hand for a minute. Probably 13 hours of work in one sitting? Who knows, but its the longest either of us have ever done in one sitting. Sorry for the huge picture.

The Rochester flower was already there. (inside of the arm, almost to arm pit)
Got home at 6:45. Took shower. Went to bed at 7. Woke up at 10. Got to work at 11, worked 7 hours.
My life is so ****ing awesome.

yeah, he tattoos like he paints. lots of layers of colour.
it just sucks to have one area tattooed, then re-tattooed, then re-re-tattooed.
next session will be finishing colour and touch up, maybe laying down the background.
session after the background is done will be thickening up the lines.
and then one final touch up session.
oh, and he spent two hours on my elbow only to tell me he used yellow instead of orange and he will have to redo it.
but i still love him. ha.

no, nothing to do with that song.
to use his words "its more of an illustrated idea than a tattoo. it cant be looked at as seperate pieces or it wont make any sense."
its about the struggle between life and death and how no matter what, youre going to die.
notes:
-the key doesn't fit the lock.
-even if it did, the bird still cant escape.
-the dead hand holds the cage and the bird.
the diamonds are another analogy for hardship in your life.
once its finished i'll make him write you all the story.
yes, i let my tattoo artist put (basically) whatever he wants on my body.
i have a lot of say in the piece and we work together on the concept.
its part of our friendship. i knew him as an artist and a friend before i started being tattooed by him.
this sleeve is basically just a way for him to paint and for me to enjoy it.

I have no money..tattoos are expensive..unless of course you have a friend that will practice on you for free.. and then if they do that you gotta make sure they finish what they start and dont stop halfway through the tattoo cuz they are too drunk, and then you beg them for like a year to finish it and they never do and then you have to move out of the country..like what happened to my tattoo...the one..in the middle picture..but anyways..I WILL someday have my whole left arm sleeved and colored in..next Im getting cthulu on my shoulder/blade/back area....and a pirate skull on my rib cage twisting around my titty.. ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

hp lovecraft is too often overlooked.
He was amazing writer. I spent far too long reading his books and playing the COC RPG.
Shame he was a pathetic racist.
