helmet hair
how do you deal with it?
I hate when I get to work, look in the mirror and realize I look like a complete doof with these lines in my hair from my helmet.

I cut mine short (#3-#7 range mostly depending on the season). I guess I'm lazy, but that solves the problem.
I've read suggestions on here of covering the front vents up to prevent the alternating wet/dry spots.
You could also carry a comb or brush and some "hair product" on your bike or keep those items at work.

I use a Headsweats bandana under my helmet. Now when i get to work its only slightly messed and a comb/brush fixes it.

Keeping hair relatively short is one way to go. Still, when I ride in the rain with my hood on under the helmet, I end up with crazy lines across my forehead that take a while to go away. It's even worse in the winter when I wear a tuque. Generally speaking, I try not to schedule any meetings in the morning

I take a towel to work and dump water over my head a few times. My hair is wet for the first little while at work, but I don't care.

Helmet hair is easy to take care of, especially when you keep your hair trimmed short. What I find embarassing is later in the year when I have tan lines in the shape of my helmet vents o:=

Short hair, Headsweat and an occasional soaking with water from the sink. When my hair gets too long I put some "Got2B Glued" spiking gel on and call it good.

I actually kinda like having 3 'crease lines' running through my otherwise short hair. Have considered dyeing the part that is always left sticking up, or maybe the flattened rows. Y'know, like tie dyed? Short-haired rastaman?
It serves as a constant reminder to my colleagues that I'm riding a bike & they're sitting in their fluorescent-lit cubicles getting heavier by the month. I may look like a doofus but at least I'm a (relatively) skinny doofus.

generally my hair is pretty short, but it still makes some pretty heavy indentations, a comb or brush really doesn't do anything. I usually have to completely wet it get it back to normal.
