I'm officially calling it...clyde emeritus status
I've been hovering right at or just under 200 lbs for the last week and a half or so, but I'm officially calling it today. I weighed in this morning and I was close to 198 pounds. I'm calling it 199 officially to account for possible water loss due to my ride on the trainer this morning. I don't expect a spike back to 200 due to my consistant 1 lb a week loss. I figure by Christmas I will have a 4 to 5 pound buffer so I should be safe
(although going home for a week at Christmas is a tough week to watch calorie intake
). I think the Y is going to be my friend while I am up there. Maybe get some laps in the pool in and ride a stationary bike (yuck) or maybe an eliptical or something.
I'm glad there is an emeritus status. I like hanging out in here. You guys are awesome!
29 pounds to goal weight.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Oh...and one more thought about the experience so far and what I'm carrying forward. What is interesting is that i started losing weight more consistently when I stopped worrying about losing weight. My goal changed from losing weight to more performance specific goals like completing a century, X miles by the end of the year, etc. I have my performance goals for next year and have an idea what kind of training I need to do to accomplish them. When I add monitoring my calorie intake to that mix, the weight seems to be taking care of itself. Plus, I'm in better shape now (at 44) than I have been since I was, oh say...22 or 23. When that number gets down to 20 that's about all I an hope for
(I was in EXTREMELY good physical condition at 18, but it started falling off fast from there as I got out of organized sports and stopped running and started drinking beer and eating a lot of pizza lol).
Thanks again guys. I think I will go out and celebrate with a tasty, but not too unhealty, lunch!

Congrats!! I'm right on your heals! 200.5-202 depending on time of day/workout status etc. Wanna get to 195 so I can have the first cheeseburger in 8 months and then off to 188 (the century mark).
