advice on tightening Park PCS-1 Stand

I just purchased a used Park PCS-1 bike stand. Love the stand, however I can't seem to get the rotation lever tight enought to keep the bike from tilting. When I have it clamped to the seat post, the extra weight in the front of the bike tends to cause it to tilt downwards. It's fine when the weight distrabution is equal when clamp to the top tube on the frame. But most of my bike have cable running through it. Any sugestions on how to keep it from rotating when clamped to the seat post?

Park stands should be able to fix the clamp very firmly so there may be something wrong or worn with yours. I'd contact Park to see what they recommend.

I have the same stand an mine locks up very tight, and I have never had any problems with my chosen setting slipping.

+1 on the defect/worn comment.
