Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

hey fellas totally new to this forum, signed in to link up with some cyclocross information and stumbled upon this page! Thanks to everyone who comes out to polo, the tournament was mad fun. Sage your photos are great, and to anyone who has more please shoot me a link or post it up here I'll check back when I can. Again thanks for coming out, even if you don't normally play (don't be scurred!) some things that should be mentioned about yesterday: Pascal had never played before and hopped in on the hardest day possible, he ate concrete all day but still plugged away at it, I was very impressed at his determination, yeah he wasn't a the greatest player but damn if he didn't try. Im real glad more people are showing up and if we do this every month we could have the possibility for some BIG money games (like $10-20 registrations). I LOVE the intensity and competativeness that ppl showed when they only had $3 on the line keep it up. Anyway, thanks for coming out. Cheers.

Yeah, hats off to Pascal. He took some tumbles, but was right back up and on the bike everytime.

I think my roomate is done with me using his bike for polo so I gotta build a new polo steed.

I accidently clipped some guy's front wheel and he went over his handlebars. He landed on his feet, but I still feel ****ing terrible. I couldn't stop because I was late, but I should have.

You clipped him with your bike or car? Should have stopped no matter how late you were, its not his fault you were in a rush. Just to ask if he was okay and a high five or something.

He was riding across Broad, and clipped my back wheel.
I asked if he was alright and he said yeah.

And yeah, it was definitely a dick move.

Well, I think this goes along nicely with the polo topic. Everybody grab your mallets. The hunt is on.

They were three (not racist) black males who were dressed in black. One just ran up to me hit me in the face and ran off. He got back with his group they laughed and then proceeded to punch someone riding on Main in the face.
