Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Im looking for a small road or track frame for my girlfriend, I wanna build her a bike for her upcoming birthday. And by small I mean small, Im looking for something around 43cm-48cm. Closer to 43cm would be better. Let me know if any of you cool dudes can help me find one. Also I know IRO, fuji and motobecane have small frames but Im just trying to see if I can find anything a little cheaper then new locally.

Yea that guy (dan) is a pretty legit guy that has a lot of older bikes, in all sizes. His prices are pretty fair and he will let you do all the work (if you want) on the bikes. I have built up like 3 bikes with him and everyone who rides them is pleased. If you want his number just shoot me a pm.

I've considered it. I'm the bike guy at a summer camp where I work and I'm thinking of making a fixed hard-tail to **** around with on trails.

I got there too late for the track racing but I took a few pictures of the road races, it was fun anyway. I'll try and make it there earlier next race
