Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? That bike isn't going to be ridden, it was built to live in the corner of the kitchen.
Sometimes when friends come over it'll be allowed into the living room.

i don't ride it much, but i do ride it.

over bridges sometimes.
i put a lot of miles on it before i graduated... it took me to every class and work shift for about three months. did an alleycat too.

i just change parts on it so often that it always looks new, and now i drive to work full time so i don't get to ride it as much. that will change though

this needs conti gatorskins or something else with dark brown sidewalls. then you need to get some money from adidas.

tested it out yesterday. rode 20 miles. uphill, downhill, and some sharp turns and i gotta say i like it a lot better. i'm more comfortable in the aero position now. i can turn more responsively.

more comfortable for me overall.

is the 50mm stem a joKe? this is a serious question.
do your knees almost hit your bars or is your leg extension all wrong too?

If that 50mm stem feels right and is right for you, you must be a weird shaped guy, or be riding a weird shaped bike

that shimano chain ring kicks ass! who cares about colors and stem lengths, black or silver or any of that crap. ride the thing into the ground if its comfy and fast. folks thinking waaaaaaaaaaaay too much about color and matching this and that. see adidas bike for example of this.
