How to convert to drop bars on a Gary Fisher Wingra
I purchased a Gary Fisher Wingra a few months back and I love it, that being said, I would like to convert the handlebars to drop bars and I need help on what to purchase to accomplish this conversion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I you need a visual of the Wingra, the link is below.

By the time you buy everything you need for a serviceable road setup (the better part of a group and bars) you'll have spent several hundred dollars. Your best bet is to try and recoup $250-$300 by selling the bike on craigslist (barely used hybrids are going very quickly now) and looking at the <$750 road bike thread. You'll spend virtually the same amount of money and save yourself a mountain of grief.

Keep the bike, but buy a road bike with drops. The conversion (especially the brifters) will be expensive.

Bar ends are a nice addition to a flat-bar bike. They're inexpensive and give you more hand positions. If you mount them fairly parallel to the ground, they'll let you stretch out and get a little lower if you're trying to get a bit more aero.

just get an entry level road bike and be done with it.
not only do you need to switch to road levers, you need to change to canti-lever brakes otherwise you'll have poor braking performance by combining long pull and short pull brakes.

Chances are you will need new der's as well - matching the pull of teh lower end ones with new brifter will drive you insane.
Bar ends are a good choice if you are looking for more options. Are you sure you want road drops?

Can't do it. Gary Fisher frames are made to explode if drops are installed.
