Need help with route through Pasadena

Hey guys,

Nekohime over in the Folding Bike forum is planning another SoCal folder ride and we picked Pasadena. I happen to live here and tried to give a suggestion for a route, but not being a "group ride" person (I mostly ride just to get places) I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. I tried to find some wider roads like the stretches along Sierra Madre Blvd and Orange Grove, as well as specific ones with specific bike lanes like along Maple St, but maybe my route is too ambitious for a group of folders.

https://veloroutes.org/bikemaps/?route=15418

Some things to consider:
- It has to start/end at one of the stations along the Gold Line
- We're probably looking at around 8-10 people max
- It's a leisurely ride, not for speed

Would you modify this or suggest alternate routes (which can be entirely different)?

Thanks,

Eugene

P.S. If you're curious about folders then we invite you to join us, too!

you might want to route it down union (one way) over to colorado over the bridge, right on orange grove and there is that nice down hill to the rosebowl, across suicide bridge would be nice too!

I think the Colorado Blvd. bridge is very cool looking, but I'm not convinced it's good for a group ride. Isn't it pretty narrow?

So if we were to meet at the Del Mar station, it'd be Del Mar Blvd. to Orange Grove Blvd. and then Rosemont Ave.?

When you take the bridge, how do you make the transition to Linda Vista?
