Does anyone else get that natural high

extra bitter
You should figure out which group it is so you can do a complete ride with them and blow their wheels off for the whole deal. That should shut them up.

the only time I would ever get a "high" is when ghetto kids try to race me (I commute through ~15 blocks of hood) on walmart bikes and I easily pass them. Even then it's not some ethereal "natural high," more like a "ha, ha, ha."

Yeh, I know the feeling, I do love it even taking into consideration the possible length of their journey, them with their full Carbon fibre, spandex gimp suit non-sense..
Best pass for me was getting a chase off a cop on a mountain bike for whipping through a red light on my fixie, heard some shouting behind me and realised he was chasing me! I was almost home so sprinted off away from him, across the road, through a little lane and up my street into my house! I was seriously wrecked after (was on the way home from a longish trip beforehand) but was hilarious thinking back on it!

seriously, there's nothing tackier than posting about "beating someone" who doesn't know you and didn't agree to race you so you can feel a little bit better about yourself amongst a group of strangers on the internet.
really, get a life.
*ed: not to say that all roadies are real riders, but anyone who actually rides knows that there are riders and non riders. some wear spandex, ride $7,000 carbon and average 25mph on 30 mile rides, others can't pass 20mph or climb the smallest of hills without getting off to rest. you pass some, some pass you, and with others you paceline together. just a disclaimer.

Wow tough crowd. Okay to be clear I have nothing against spandex riders,I was one myself for many, many years and used to race. Second I dont just get on my bike to ride to my friends house. When I do ride my fixed its always more than 20 miles and that is just for the hell of it.

I ride a ss and with me its the other way around! All the road biking spandex wearing guys and girls seem to make it theire mission to pass me at top speed!
I just keep on riding, keeping up a steady pace and enjoying my ride!
