I like the bikes. I also like your concept/layouts for the pics.
Besides the focus issues already pointed out, you gotta make sure your shots are level. the columns angle really distract. Also, if you are resizing the pics smaller, do a "unsharpen" mask on Photoshop or a similar program. That could help.
My favorite pic is number 1. Would it be possible to adjust the angle to get more of the bike shadow in?
Also, when taking a bike pic, use a couple of spokes (same color as the ones on the wheel to prop the bike up. depending on placement angle, you might not even have to clone stamp them out.

i just want to point out that the sound engineers *****ing that the home-studio-in-a-laptop revolution killing good sounding music can shove it.
threads like this make me sad that digital slr are as affordable and easy to use as they are...

Sound engineers who think cheap home studios are ruining their industry are stupid, but photographers who think cheap SLRs are ruining their industry aren't?

no. i guess it came out wrong. i just mean to say that i hate that joe moron is clicking away on a $500 piece of equipment he can't use, then subjecting the general public to it-- en masse-- because he somehow thinks his flickr account makes him a photographer. it's getting increasingly annoying.

Yeah, kids should stay out of making music, with all their new fangled music making technologies, or their appreciation of older technologies! Leave music to the older people who really know how to use editing programs!
(This analogy doesn't apply to photography)
