My new bike
For the past 2 seasons and starting this one I have been on my Cross Check, and it has served me well, but I had the opportunity to upgrade, so I did and this is the result
I got in on Tuesday, built it up over my lunch hour, got it at least rideable for Tuesday night and what a difference it made. The way it is built up right now is around 4 pounds lighter than my Surly, and I could really feel the difference when shouldering the bike as well as climbing on it. This weekend I will be racing it so I am hoping for some good things to come out of it.

Did you have those wheels on your Surly? I would bet they make a big difference. Hot ride.

Sick!
And just in time for Halloween
I'm jealous. Care to share any details of the build?

I did not use these wheels on my CC due to the horizontal dropouts no matter what I did I couldn't prevent them from slipping. The wheels are about a pound lighter than my other ones, and they spin so much smoother.
The shifters are Campy Veloce, and the rear deraileur is a Campy Centaur using a JTek shiftmate so I can run my Shimano cassette.
