A 'gravity rack' holds bikes, just as pictured. It leans against the wall, so no screwing into anything is required.
I got it cheap at a garage sale. It's easier to grab bikes off of than the ceiling hooks everything else is hanging from, especially for Mrs. OFG.

Here's mine in her original condition . . . a little rough around the edges, but fast as all get out!

I can't believe that no-one has dared to clear up this misconception about red bikes being faster...
We should all know by now that orange bikes are the fastest.

Only red bike i had was a Trek 400 with a triple. It had kickass DiaCompes (and fork and rear triangle) that would accommodate 38mm cross tires, no problem!
Bottom bracket area was spongy as hell, however, so overall, not really that fast, with slicks or knobs. With cyclocross tires fitted, I did enjoy blowing away many a yuppie on many a $2000+ full suspension MTB on Leif Erickson, however.

I have a red Schwinn Sting Ray cyclocomputer, with a white racing stripe, and it's faster, too.

Si se Puede!!!....Ahuevo!
Here is how I got her. I've removed the tri-bars and added a Brooks Pro. That stem will soon be changed with a Pantographed one. Also, I've changed the hub body since I received it broken. It's one fun ride!!

Hey Oz, you got an Abeni eh? That's crazy - I got one too - for my wife but she doesn't ride it. It's, umm, pink.
The other bike doesn't go very fast at all. It's hanging in the garage

My Gitane Tour De France - a lot of blemishes when you're close up, but it sure feels fast.

Those Abenis are nice. I had a black one in 1982, lasted til 1984 before it got squashed. Can't remember what kind of tubing it was, but some kind of Reynolds seems familiar enough. Replaced it with a Colnago Saronni, currently being resprayed RED, to keep on topic. Looks exactly like the Red Super above, sans clear coat yet.
A local Oz builder (i thought he was from Sydney but may be wrong).
another decent local frame maker from that period was Kitchen (Kitchener?) cycles, who sold from a small store on Mona Vale road north of the St Ives Village Green Shopping Centre, if not other places too. most of his frames were yellow, though, with black lettering.
