New Sunline stem, and a slimmer seat. Trimmed the fork steer tube a touch. All dialed in nice and happy. Somewhere between 32-33#, with 2.6" tires, the rear being a full extra pound of DH tire.
Ditching the chainguide, swapping a regular seatpost on, going to a Lyrik Solo Air vs. the Totem Solo Air, smaller/lighter pedals, and lighter tires would easily have me in the high twenties for weight, but I'm not willing to sacrifice those particular parts just to lose some weight.

It is. Took it out on Friday. The Kinetics leave a bit to be desired but other than that I am waaaay happy.

I don't get as excited over the "cookie cutter" bikes that people build. I've seen too many Nomads, hahaha.

A ninties Trek 800 Sport, a heavy, solid frame with upgraded Deore components. It's been an excellent commuter bike so far, but I don;t think it'll take the abuse of off-roading.

My first mountain bike. I never had one during the mountain craze in the 90's, and only came into this one by default (was going to pull my pedicab trailer, until it was logically deemed an improper use). So I built it up using spares lying around the shop I work at. I honestly don't know the first thing about mountain bike tech, so sometimes I feel at a loss, but I'm a quick learner. I bugged out of work early today and hit up some local trails, and holy **** I don't think I've ever had as much fun on a bike! I did about 6 miles of (what I think is) super rocky single track this afternoon before the sun set and I probably smiled the whole time.
The pictures:
It's a 2002 or so KHS Team ST, with a mix of parts, admittedly mostly low end. But I didn't feel like dropping any real money on a bike I wasn't sure I would even like, and will undoubtedly smash the hell out of while I figure out what I'm doing. But I do have some good parts on the way: a SID XC Dual Air fork came in the shop today in a "donation box," and I snagged an XT front derailer off of criagslist today.

Here's my Mexico bike. 1994 Univega CB S8.3. XT deraileurs. LX crankset, shifters and brakes. XTR Hubs laced to Mavic 238s...etc.

I wanted a Bianchi for sometime now and I finally got a sweet deal on a second hand one.
Not sure of the year but its in really good condition minus a few rusty screws which are easy to work on.
I set it up with some roadish tires as I use it mainly in the city
Best bike I ever owned

I just purchased a Motobecane 700HT on Friday. No pics yet, but will get some. I'm sure I'll get some comments about buying this brand, but it's cool. Bike shifts well, feels sturdy, fits, etc.
