Unfair to compare with folks in areas where they can ride all year round. My season started from May, and I've got about 600 mi so far, counting out miles on the trainer.

Hi,
If I don't crash tonight, 3,450 high quality, junk miles. Enough miles to make me feel reasonably good about myself and I'm the only one who matters.

1482 miles....and of course here comes the inevitable whiny excuse that I didn't get my first ride in until March.

2137 miles, 122 hours (that's a guess but the miles are logged & accurate).

I've ridden some pathetic number of kilometers this year so far (1559 km) ... but winter is progressing and summer is on its way!!
I've been busy with other things during the first 6 months of the year like:
-- giving Rowan as much support as I could through the devastating Australian bushfire which took his home
-- finishing my last few classes at University
-- completing my practicum
-- dealing with a nasty kidney stone, including going through surgery
-- graduating from university
-- sorting and packing my things to get them ready for a potential move
-- travelling to Australia
-- setting up a home in a little, rustic cabin out in the middle of nowhere NE of Melbourne with my husband Rowan ... FINALLY!! ... including:
----- exploring the 1200 acres around here by hiking up and down the pastures
----- helping Rowan insulate the place, set up the "bathroom", etc.
----- having a bit of fun experimenting with baking in our fireplace ... it's our furnace and an oven.

It's been quite a start to the year!!! I'm actually hoping the second half of the year includes more calm, peaceful, relaxed cycling.

4.781 miles to date this year. Some miles were easy, some were very very hard, sometimes many and not many were in between.
