mmm, crunchy

I think the SFX during the moment were a bit over done, but it's a good example of why you shouldn't do it.

does yours?

if anything, they do generate buzz for those people who just have to have a look to see what all the fuss is about.

I think word of mouth through the internet can get a lot of attention, especially for 'shocking' things like these.

Wasn't criticizing your examples. I meant both of our videos....

I hope they help, but I'm not sure.

I think that's pretty good for only being posted in June 28, 2009

the ones I linked have way less and were posted back in 2007

WOW, thanks for noticing that. Scary,....

Texting and cell phones make cycling even more dangerous.

WTF would it be necessary to have any kind of warning that texting while driving is not good. Have we, as a race, become that stupid?

I guess so.

Sadly, yes. Thus the extreme PSA's are necessary.

Am I a heartless bastard for thinking, "Hell yeah!" as they were getting slammed around inside their car?

I think deep down you understand it's only a PSA and not real footage.... otherwise, I think you'd be depressed about the senseless loss of life.

While we're at it, here's a real life texting accident (one of many on youtube);

I would think it should be doable for the cell phone companies to disable cell phone communications from moving vehicles . . . except for 911 (emergency) calls of course.

They could, but we frequently have the passenger make phone calls when we're meeting friends, especially in unfamiliar areas. Yes, I suppose we could stop to make the call.

It also would prevent calls from being made by passengers in buses, taxis, trains, etc. I can't imagine cell phone companies being willing to take that much heat from their customers unless forced to do it by law.
