Jacques Anquetil, maybe the greatest natural talent of them all; admire his unique pedalling-style (toes pointing down), so incredibly smooth while pushing a huge gear.
great documentary (scroll down a bit)

I've got a copy of the Book by Eugene Sloane on the bay if anyone's interested...
Update: I sold this Book a while ago.

Probably already listed somewhere on this thread, but an awesome visual experience (for touring bike lovers...check out the cantilever brakes back in the '40s!):

Like the Rene Herse website I mentioned above? Have an interest in bicycle touring?
Here's a link you may want to add to "favorites" (in addition to Bike Forums, of course):

Here is a site I stumbled upon today looking up fenders. These are handcrafted from wood with lots of different designs and shapes. Looks like he does custom work too. I haven't purchased any but thought someone might be interested for a retro look on a classic build.

Bruce Gordon touring bikes @ https://www.bgcycles.com/ & https://www.bgcycles.com/specials.html
Check out some of the prices on the second link! They will make you feel pretty good the next time to find a sweet bike for $25 at a garage sale this summer.
