Jacques Anquetil, maybe the greatest natural talent of them all; admire his unique pedalling-style (toes pointing down), so incredibly smooth while pushing a huge gear.

great documentary (scroll down a bit)

I've got a copy of the Book by Eugene Sloane on the bay if anyone's interested...

Update: I sold this Book a while ago.

Probably already listed somewhere on this thread, but an awesome visual experience (for touring bike lovers...check out the cantilever brakes back in the '40s!):

Like the Rene Herse website I mentioned above? Have an interest in bicycle touring?

Here's a link you may want to add to "favorites" (in addition to Bike Forums, of course):

I've seen these, on display at Elliott Bay Bikes in Seattle. They're beautiful - if I ever have a couple of hundred bucks laying around that I don't know what to do with, and have a hankering to make my old Raleigh 3-speed even heavier that it already is, I'll definitely buy a pair!

Bruce Gordon touring bikes @ https://www.bgcycles.com/ & https://www.bgcycles.com/specials.html

Check out some of the prices on the second link! They will make you feel pretty good the next time to find a sweet bike for $25 at a garage sale this summer.

A useful source for older Campagnolo and other small bits (cones, axles etc).
Baker's Cycle Workshop Unit 11, Southmill Trading Centre, Bishop's Stortford CM23 3DP 01279-658991

No website yet, may be an email address, Ill add it when it comes.

Ive just used them to get replacement cones for my 1995 Mirage.
