Like the video says, stay in control-stay seated.

Looks like that saddle will pitch you forward when you don't want. Look at the forward angle! Also, I can see sliding forward and getting a nut job on the top tube. Yeow!

The guy says that, unlike the 'typical' rider, you can stay seated on downhills and drops. What?

WTF? I'm the one who stays in control- I don't want the seat controlling me.

lol doesn't the seat level out when you put pressure on it? So you would not be able to put enough weight on the saddle to help any during climbing/sprinting positions. at least he is trying?? maybe?

You gotta give the guy credit for his backyard engineering, whether it works or not.

That's what happens when you give a guy with a MIG welder and access to Monster Garage too much beer.

Isnt that what the mod is done on?

Yes, he made an inefficient Wally World 'full suspension' bike even more inefficient by scabbing a variable pitch rocking saddle thingy on there.

I'm dying up here, Doug!

My hope that we would get a good schooling about suspension here is fading fast.

The mitigator: preaching bad riding techniques since... Ah screw it.

The geometry is wrong with the dh position, it's too steep.

Kona has a lot to worry about from ol' Felton The Mitigator.

The Magic Link looks interesting.

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!

Is he serious?

Yup, that WAS a Wally bike he used for the initial demo...a rolling turd called the Mongoose Blackcomb. $300, 3" travel on a good day, about 38lbs. Borrowed the linkage design from a '98 Giant. Funny thing, they produced that gray one, and a shiny red one; the red one rode better, more feedback to the rider, more lively. Never could figure that one out.

I was Googling Felton Zimmerman and all I could come up with was an inventor in Florida. Patent for some kinda easy-tipping cart or wheelbarrow. Well, thats pretty close to bicycle design.
