Define. I can think of at least one who isn't stable. He has an obsession with Twitter and bears.
You are fighting back after "the event" which is admirable. Keep us/me informed on your progress. Do you think you can get back to pre event numbers? It would be awesome if you could.

Well, the office, really. Comfy chair, nice fast computer with a hookup to a virtual machine that's even faster. I gotta buy some new snacks for the fridge, though. I'm thinking some good pickles.

Oh and I'm also very clearly the least stable person here, and it's not close.

Not here at the Smith homestead. I took the lights down today, because tomorrow it's back to the salt mines.

Im glad you asked. It’s about anything that springs to one’s mind . . . within reason. (We once had a guy in here who interpreted that concept literally and became a major pain in the ass posting every every one of his often wacky thoughts. That didn’t work out well for him when all was said and done.)
Think of Addiction as a Foo thread within the Road forum, where one can discuss all manner of topics without being off-topic. Personally, I think a reasonable goal would be to aim for a reasonable balance of topics. Specifically, at times last year I think the thread got too bogged down with cycling issues, which outnumbered and outweighed everything else. Among other things, humor suffered, and more than one person has privately complained to me about their dissatisfaction with the content of the thread. They said things had gotten very boring and the thread just wasn’t fun anymore, especially since the passing of Pcad, whom most know was all about fun and comical banter.
I see that as easily fixed. Before getting too cycling centric we might possibly remember that we are in a cycling forum where a topic will almost certainly find a wider body of interested souls outside of Addiction than what’s available inside Addiction. Let me be clear right away, I’m not saying we shouldn’t discuss anything cycling related in Addiction, but rather let’s try to find a balance where it’s more sporadic or, for example, it doesn’t take up one or two whole pages of chatter at a time. That’s a bit much for any topic. Move it out to the cycling forum where more help is available and where more can enjoy. There’s a big difference historically between the purpose and usage of the Water Cooler/Chit Chat thread and the purpose and usage of the Addiction thread. I definitely don’t think it would be much fun if all of the Road Cycling topics gradually migrated into the Addiction thread. It could happen. Some might say it’s happening now.
I realize of course everyone can’t be as witty as Pcad, and the thread will never be the same without him, or Coasting, but we can try at least to be a little more considerate of a wider audience.

Compromise: organize nightly drone show.

Observation: Doctors don't seem like it when patients do their own research. At least not the ones smart enough to challenge their recommendations.
Mrs tm's recent doctor visits:
Surgeon: I see you've consulted "Doctor Google".
Me: Yes, and he was very helpful.
Radiologist: Yours is a rare form of cancer, and existing studies included very few patients that match up with your case.
Me: Interesting, this National Cancer Database survey identified 1700 patients in Mrs tm's age group, with Mrs tm's cancer, at Mrs tm's stage.
Radiologist: That's not a randomized study.
Me: Obviously, it's a retrospective population survey, which found that the treatments you are recommending had no influence on 5-year survival, but they found this other treatment was beneficial.
Radiologist: I have no problem doing either treatment. I do them both, all the time.

Happy new year, everybody.
I rode my oldest bike today. Wanted to do something more interesting than a ride on a bike path but thats all I could muster after my trip back to Illinois.
