Looking at these pics and the ones in the new Madonda thread, it appears that modern bike frames have finally sized me out. They keep getting wider in places where I had clearance problems already. I'm 5'8" with a cycling inseam in the 30" - 31" range. I also have long beefy arms. The modern fit calculators would have me riding a 54cm frame. I have 25-26"ish quads/hammies and 18-19"ish calves..

There's lots of black on the bike, and I think in order to offset that, I would look into an aluminum seat post and aluminum spacers under the stem.

Love the bike, but the wheels. This is mother bike where the spacers under the stem don’t really take away from the bike. My eyes are not drawn to them.
The wheels would look much better black. I think Boyd wheels are near you. Just a thought.

Those yellows aren't close to matching. Slamming the stem might help. Are you sure it's inserted to the minimum line?

For some bikes the black background is terrible/all wrong. For others, it's the bees knees. That opinion seems to vary on this thread. What's up with the non drive side pedal? Looks like a piece of angle iron/aluminum? Is that a strip of rattlecan paint on the headtube, or a handlebar shadow? It looks like a pretty color, but I can't tell because of the dark background. I'm on the fence like a Mugwump.
Edit: Both derailleurs are emitting a brown/gold/orangeish hue. Nothing else on the bike is except for maybe the top of the rear brake disc. Strange.

Mojo's weather. His weekend weather looks similar to ours, but about 10 degrees warmer. His is better for cycling, but ours is better for running. If your wife has a run this weekend, midday either day is about perfect.

I have a couple of halfs coming up in March, so I have to get in a longish LSD run on Sunday. Fatigued earlier in the week, so I'm taking off shortly. 7 last night, 9 tonight and 13 on Sunday. I like running at night. You don't get either of the extreme ends of the weather. In the summer, it gets cooler as you go.
