Nashbar integrated headset road frame, dura ace/open pro wheels, 105 shifters, dura ace derailleurs, deda stem and bars, etc... Just trying to build something decent and inexpensive for club rides and racing. Weighs 18.7lbs without pedals.

i really like it. it is a no nonsense road bike that should prove very reliable. honestly, it is more bike than most of us need. the crankset matches the derailleurs quite well, did you plan that? happen to know the build cost?

I haven't added everything up but I think I have around $700-800 into it. I kept costs down quite a bit by getting used parts. I actually didn't plan any of the matching, I just went with the highest quality part I could get in a certain price range.

I like that bike too. It's the kind of bike you don't have baby or worry too much about. Dial it in, set it to go.
My latest build is by far the most inexpensive I've owned but it's my favourite for that very reason.

Ahhh, sorry, that orange one isn't mine, just an excellent example of these old Kleins. Mine is full Dura ace 9700, so the chainrings are too.
I don't have the money to blow to build mine up like that orange one. I bought mine off a friends for a good price. It came with the full 9700 group on it and Aksium wheelset, which I switched out for the Rev X.
The fibrelight chainrings do look amazing, I worry about how well they shift.
I hope to spark the Klein flame in other people though and hopefully see more people pickup these frames off eBay and build them up to reclaim their glory.

Here is my 2003(?) Specialized Sirrus. 58cm/XL
I have been away from Road Cycling for awhile, but with this awesome machine,
I am just now getting back into it.
I just put on the new Vuelta HD wheels, which I got from Nashbar. Installed the cassette,
8-speed, and the skewers. Took it out for a test ride at 10pm. Wow, very fast.
Great to be back in the saddle again.

Very nice build mazda. I have been contemplating a build for a friend of mine who desperately wants and needs a new bike but does not want to spend a crazy amount. I'd just sell him one of mine but he's 6'3" and i'm closer to 5'9". Put some miles on it and let us know how you like the ride. I may start saving for a frame as a present to him and we can build it together.

Definitely look into the nashbar frame. It's sort of heavy (~1600g for the '58cm') but it's solid and well made. All of the threads/bearing races were perfect out of the box. I've only ridden it a little bit but my initial impression was that it far exceeded my expectations. All I've owned up until this point have been steel bikes so I don't really know what it compares to, but frankly it craps on any steel bike I've ridden (even the nice ones) so I'm very pleased.
