new wheel, wobbly

just curious...last year myself bought a cheap wheel for my citibike, and it was very wobbly when it was recieved. after trued it myself, it works fine.

Myself just bought another cheap wheel. but this one is perfectly trued when it was recieced.

what insight can ourselves gleam from such variation of manufacturihg? and can we assume wobbly means poor material or manufacturing quality?

Just curious: why are you averse to the words “I” and “We”?

Oh, and some things are just built better than others.

Yeah, he hasn't always had the language impediment. Exploring new approaches I guess.

One cheap wheel was out of true, another cheap wheel was true.

Insight #1: the quality of cheap products varies

Insight #2: you buy cheap, you take your chances

Beat me to it. And I wonder if he paid for it using a Citibank credit card.

Words are meant to express not impress, and what was said was easily understood. Pretty sure most/many/all inexpensive wheels are machine-manufactured and subject to problems if conditions aren't set up correctly. Good that you were able to true your wheel. My LBS charges $100 labor to build a wheel, while having a four - six week backlog for repairs now.

And in the OP's case, they do neither.
