Alta road bike
The seller says it is a 1960's giro de italia model in the description but that is about all i know, asking 150 for and im considering the bike, is it worth it and anything you guys have to put in about the bike is always good.

"atala"
cottered crank, steel wheels...looks like a low end bike. HOWEVER, call to find out about the campy group and is it included in the price?
lol @ how another bike is in the way of the bike actually being sold.

Constant tinkerer
Very poorly written ad, clueless seller. That is a tiny frame, certainly not meant for anyone close to anyone "5-10 and half" even with that ridiculously tall saddle.
Still, if it's not far from you I would go check it out for the potential Campy and Mavic rims. The bike may not be worth $150 but the rest of the stuff might make it worthwhile if there are some gems in there. From what I can see on the bike alone, I would want to pay more like $75.

I like that too especially when you get to the steel wheel part! I wonder if the new wheels and ergo parts come with?

The subject bicycle does indeed appear to be an early 1970s Atala Giro d'Italia. This was their upper, entry level model, 2nd from the bottom of the line. The frane is hi-tensile steel. Quick release hubs (typically Gnutti) laced to steel, 27" rims. Ballila or Universal 68 centre-pull brakes. Simplex Prestige derailleurs. Steel, cottered crankset. The saddle is a definite replacement.
Asking price is in the range of the original price, depending on the exact year. The frame looks even smaller than 21" (it did come in 19"). It looks appropariate for someone about 5'4". Cosmetically, it appears clean. This could be a good deal if those aluminum wheels and Campagnolo parts are no extra charge, but I suspect they're low end Camapgnolo, probably one of the Valentino variants.
