What did I buy? Vortex Genesis
I bought this for the suntour thumbies, but I’m curious what it is. I believe it is from 1988, Tange Double butted MTB, sakae KK hubs, sakae crankset with shimano derailleurs, with dia compe brakes.

Check actual serial # against T-Mar's excellent write up. There were thousands of private label brands out there, made by dozens of companies.

I’ve never seen that specific off brand early MTB but I love all of these weird early bikes. I fixed one up for a friend, a Renegade II, with no clear relation to any Renegade I! But it had a solid Tange frame and full Deerhead and nice anodized rims, bull moose, etc.
