Appreciate the offer, bot my style or brand on the Miyata, had hopes someone might want it at that price.
On the other hand, I've spent the last 6 days trying to find a facilitator near Northampton, MASS or anywhere on the west side to facilitate this Italvega, but I've come up short, so I'm posting it now with hopes that a fellow BF'er gets it.
Chances of another coming up this decade and this neat are pretty much nil.... I'm just wondering how bad the rust spot since it's not pictured.

Waterford 1250, original owner, 57cm by 57cm - $1550
© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)
Waterford 1250 road/light touring bike. The is a super comfortable and stable ride. The frame and fork were built in 1995 and the bike was assembled in a pro shop. The premium paint (considerable price adder at the time) is called "chameleon green," which is metallic and has a hint of purple in it. Looks amazing in the sunshine. The pics don't do it justice. The gruppo is mixed, with a 10 speed Campy Centaur Triple drive train, Campy levers, and Mavic brakes. There is very little mileage on this drive train. The custom built wheels use Campy hubs with DT spokes and Mavic rims. Continental GP 4 season tires front and back, both in good condition. The bike has eyelets, front and back, a chain hanger, and a pump peg. Size is 57cm top tube and 57cm seat tube, both measured center to center.
Overall this bike is in very good condition and is ready to ride. The only obvious flaw are paint chips on the drive side chainstay. I have touch up paint in the correct color, though I'm not sure if it's still usable.
This bike was my main ride for several years before I purchased a carbon road bike. Thinking that I would use the Waterford for commuting and light touring, I reconfigured it as a triple and put a rack and Ortlieb bags on it. I just haven't ridden it very much. Every year I prep the bike for the season, ride a couple of miles, and put it back on the hook. Time to move on. Let me know if you have questions or need more details about anything.

Bargain!
https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bik/6167149985.html
Tommaso road bike - $200 (Wayland)
© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)
make / manufacturer: Tommaso
size / dimensions: 54cm
Tommaso road bike from the late 1980s (or early 1990s?). These bike frames were handmade in Italy and imported by Ten Speed Drive Imports (see sticker in bottom bracket photo) in Florida who then sold them here in the U.S.
Frame is highly regarded Columbus SLX steel tubing - very light and strong and no longer made. Campagnolo dropouts, nice cut-out details in the lugs and bottom bracket, and pantographing on the seat stays, seat stay bridge, and fork crown. Chrome on the seat stays is in good condition, but there are scrapes/chips/rubs in the paint in places. Frame size is 54cm as stamped on the bottom bracket - 54cm seat tube, 55cm top tube (C-C).
Components are mostly Shimano 600 tri-color (headset, brakes/levers, shifters, rear derailleur, seat post), Dura Ace front derailleur, Cinelli stem and handlebars. Current wheelset is built on Alex R500 rims, but the original wheelset is included - Shimano 600 tri-color hubs with Mavic GP4 tubular rims. Also included is a spare Mavic GP4 tubular rim. Needs new bar tape, a saddle, and pedals.
A great deal on a very high quality frame and solid components. Cash and local pick up only - if the ad is up it's still available. Respond in a way that lets me know you're human.

Old School TREK Road Bike (USA-made 20" Frame) - $92 (Westwood)
© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)
Nice condition overall but a complete project and cannot be ridden as is. Clean parts, everything is straight.
This needs a competent bike mechanic to put into riding condition.

Did I see someone looking for an Italvega? I'm not familiar with the brand, but there's one in Richmond, VA.
1971 ITALIAN RACING BIKE - $325 (Richmond)
"Vintage 1971 Italvega Novorecord road racing bike - 10 speed. In excellent condition - all parts on this bike were made in Italy, including new crankshaft, arms, handle bars and breaks. Very fun and fast bike. Italvega bikes were built in Italy for about 5 years, from 1970 -75. The company then moved to Japan and became Univega. Italvega bikes were designed by master bike builders and their quality was better than the Japanese bikes. The bike is light and nice looking. $325 obo"
It's been up for about a month.
And closer to home (too tall for me!) is a nice Tange Prestige Bianchi.
Vintage Bianchi Road Bike for Tall Rider- Super Light! Ready to Ride! - $350 (Fairfax - Metro)

VO front constructeur racks are on clearance for $50. Nice if you're looking for a front rack for bag support. I've also run these with front panniers, no problem:

$795, I think it's more like $495; but I'm no expert. It certainly looks like a very nice bicycle.

Nice, but again, I think on the high-price side, perhaps not.

look kg96: sorry, i had to have it. its the bike I fell in love with cycling on in Japan- and I have been searching for another one for near 20 years that is actually my size. so i just got it even though I know there is a chance of bond failure.
good news is that Ill be posting a few bikes in the sale section, as I had to make a deal with myself to get it!

Looks like a Peugeot PR-10, mid 70s due to the downtube braze-ons. Looks like the dog's breakfast right now but might be a worthwhile project if you've got
some spare bits.
