Shimano Golden Arrow group evaluation
Interested in your opinion about the value of this partial group Golden Arrow (105). The parts came on a Ross Signature 292.
Most of the components are marked I, so 1984.
Very nice condition, except a few scratches on one brake lever and rear derailleur. Also the hoods have cracks.
I checked the ebay listings.
Not too much help, because there are also partial groups and some in bad condition.
Also the prices are pretty high, higher than the Shimano 600, which I thought is better quality.
here are some pictures:

Prices for SOLDS are not higher than Shimano 600. Do those shifters need the obsolete braze ons?
Solds for 600 group sets are running 50% to 100% higher.

I’ll agree with the comment above. Like the 600 Arabesque, this is a nice group for the aesthetic it brings to a vintage ride. Neither necessarily know for superior functionality. I have not looked at SOLD comps recently but I’d guesstimate $150 +/- $25. That’s about $85 in Bike Forum dollars.

I too pulled a Golden Arrow group off a Ross 292S which I tried to sell. I started at $100 which didn't sell so I dropped it to $75 and it still didn't sell. I put the parts back on the Ross and traded the bike to a Co-op for a Giordana Spica (Billato built) even up. BTW, I bought the Ross at Goodwill for $15.
