Oh that’s gorgeous, that’s 1984, Tange Champion no 1, you have a mix of dura ace most of is probably not original. The saddle is not original, that is a leather wrap on the bars.
Pink is a plus, as a Craigslist price at I would expect about $350, maybe a little more, less if the wheels are tubular.

Ciocc Mockba was one. Got that. The other is a Columbine which will not happen! Haha.
I remember seeing one of these Lotuses in my localish bike shop at age 16 or so. Impressive it was. Though I thought it was built from Columbus tubing at the time.

If it does only warrant the $350 mentioned above, then it’s a good candidate for a part out.

At first I was thinking it might be a repaint of an earlier version but taking a closer look it seems original?

Thought that would catch your eye, based on your avatar.
I do not know what year this is. Got it as a frameset from a guy in Belgium. Only one set of bottle cage bosses had me thinking early/mid 80's but the rear spacing is 130mm. So I really don't know.

Beautiful. Here's my 84 Supreme, all orginal minus the wheels (it originally had sewups). Yours appears to be a few years newer. What's interesting is the different generations of Dura Ace. Your seat post is an EX BL-7200.

Lotus was a brand name owned by Sid Star of Alpha Cycle on Long Island. The Japanese models were made by Tsunoda, as I recall. These were invariably of high quality, though the smallest sizes in some models often had very long top tubes. This one is a real winner and in such great shape. It would be a prize in anyone's collection. It's a whole lot easier for me to enjoy looking at bikes like this one when they are not my size, so I am nor struck with temptation, jealousy, or any of the seven deadly sins.
Sid was a nice enough guy, but he had no problem with fabricating stories to cover his cash flow problems. The serial lying about factory fires, ship sinkings, train wrecks, etc., often related to the same delayed order, might have been comical, if you were not sitting on deposits people were asking to be returned for bikes that were two months overdue.

Ohhhhh, that's a nice one. There used to be a vintage lotus website that is no longer around, but fortunately it can be accessed with internet archives. Here is the link to the Lotus Supreme info page:

That’s interesting about the deliveries. A shop I worked at in the 80s briefly stocked them, that must be why it didn’t work out, and he dropped them.
