Ha I was first bidder. I had guessed it would end up being about a 57 top tube. I’d love to see more pics if it ends up with a BFer

if I did not already have one I would have gotten that- fair price. its an early one so does not have the bling and flair points of the later ones: more traditional before he started adding his own innovations- but still with amazing attention to detail in the build and finish-

Yeah I sifted through a bunch of other Zunow internet pics and got a sense that this is an '84 (-ish) Racer built before they went to the blingy frames and contracted some frames out to other builders. The chrome lugs and seat stay caps are a good sign. I'm not an expert on this brand and I wasn't confident enough in the research to put more than an opening bid though. Still I think the winner on that will get a nice deal on an every day rider, even if they have to put a little more cash into it.

This ratty but interesting vinti Paramount S coupled tandem has a lower opener $400. Posted this one before, been on the blocks for some time. And those doozy Phil disc brakes. Campy. Heck of a project but what a neat machine one would have.

Long Beach, CA. Have family there but don't think they would appreciate my tetanus. Anyone try bike flights for a tandem?

Italian Bevilacqua Bicycle - $975 (Arlington)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

make / manufacturer: Bevilacqua
model name / number: 18 speed
serial number: vintage
size / dimensions: 58" frame
Beautiful rare Custom Bevilaqua road bike. 58" center of crank to seat post. Chromolly frame. Vintage early 1990's. What a the racers were using. A fun, quick, and nimble bike to ride. Ultregra components. 18 speed 53 and 39 on the crank. This is a frame that was brought over from Italy and custom built 9 years ago. Bevilacqua bikes were built originally by Antonio Bevilacqua - and Italian legend in cycle racing.

An elegant beautiful vintage look but rides modern with the nice custom build. Bike is totally clean. No grease or dirt on it. They don't make these bikes any more. A real head turner amongst all the modern bikes out there now.

The frame is too tall for me, reason for letting it go.

See pics.

Well, despite owning a Z-1 Pentagla, my Zunow-Fu is clearly not up to speed, will have to work on that.

I figured the frame was a 'nice-ish' one but not super high end, based on the chrome lugs and chrome fork, but without better pics couldn't determine the condition of the chrome or if the fork was original. Also hard to justify yet another frame based project when so many are already in line at The Lab.

Curious: assuming a $525 total price with shipping and maybe $100-150 back to sell off the unused parts, that's a net of $400-ish for the frame alone. Good value?

Those were the numbers I had in mind. I think so but I am a Japanese frame neophyte.

I'm curious if that was good value too? That's how I was thinking of it. It had the older cut out on the bottom bracket, but I was unsure if the fork was original as well. Now, I think it was, but when I was bidding I was less certain. I wanted to throw in a higher bid, but only bid $415.

60cm Bianchi Vintage Men's Road Bike - great for tall riders! - $225 (somerville)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

Selling my beautiful Bianchi road bike that has been durable, easy to maintain, and a joy to ride! It's 60cm so perfect for someone 5'11" and over. These kinds of frames seem to be difficult to find in Boston, so hopefully someone who needs a good bike will make a satisfied owner! I am selling this bike because I am moving to Oregon and can't afford to ship it. The bike is lightly used - probably around 500 miles, in good weather conditions. Well maintained and recently serviced; ready to ride away. Great commuting bike, light for a steel frame and easy to ride! These early 1980s Bianchis are made from a solid frame design that doesn't involve any messy welding, so it's very durable

Good stuff, way back there was a shop with marantz and Macintosh? tube components, good times testing salesman's patience.

That green Raleigh in LA looks like a great deal for someone.

This seems like a great deal, too, but I guess a bike like this has a very small subset of people who would want it.
