Good idea Stomper. I guess the idea is just to get the glue to release from the frame, and heating (with or without steam) should make the glue pliable again to peel off the tape. Thanks for the tip.

Couldnt find much online. Nothing telling in the catalogs available. Frame serial puts it at 1971, RD 1980, FD 1978, hubs/rims mid seventies, cotterless cranks would indicate later seventies because it doesn't seem higher end. What little background I got from the owner was it belonged to an avid tourist who took it across the country at least once. Avid Fuji fan too maybe and kept it true with Fuji specific upgrades. Can only guess but 71 would mean either newest or finest. Grand tour looks to have come later per catalogs.

Can't help with identification, but it's a nice score. Would make a fantastic commuter.

don't mind at all, though it's not an Apex (though it sure looks close) few of us suspect it's a Scott Boulder or similar https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...9#post14767369

I am going to double post this, but I don't think anyone will mind.
Pawnshopping today, one I am at only 2-3/year Tiny place 25x 15 feet, I turn around and there sitting on flat tires.
--Tommasini Super Prestige in my size (55) Campy parts, Mavic hubs. The bad, nearly four bills out the door. But I have deep pockets for stuff like this. Cobalto brakes, Still have to ID the exact model of derailleur. Looks to be all original.

That's a fantastic bike man, I wouldn't be complaining about spending $400 for it, I've seen far lesser bikes go for more! Congrats!!! Clean it up real well and put some NON-ABRASIVE automotive wax on it and it will look brand new.

Certainly not vintage, but I have a soft spot for Kleins, and this one was at an attactive price, so I nabbed it. Unfortunately, it did not come with one of those wonderful Klein multicolor paint schemes. But it is still a nice one.

Klein Pulse Comp:

Nice score Bill. My kids all rode an even older Pulse comp with a rigid fork until they out grew it. Nothing like starting a kid on a 20lb mtb with slicks to get them hooked on biking.

Finally, two decent thrift store finds. Been a long time since I found a bike at a thrift store.

One's a late 1970s Nishiki Competition, with Cyclone G1 components, the other appears to be a Cannondale, set up as a SS.

Went to a flea market this morning and found a vendor selling current magazines for $1 each, he must be dumpster diving behind the news stand Bought two imported "lifestyle cycling" magazines, Treadlie from Australia, and the first issue of Urban Cyclist from the UK. Both look pretty entertaining. Also found an unused Sugino bottom bracket tool for a buck!

That Tomassini is nice!

Very good buy. The parts alone are worth that. Chrome looks to be in very good shape.

I dig that Frejus, cool lookin decals and paintwork.

I found this late 80's Panasonic MC 2500 at a university auction, and after seeing some of the older lugged mountain bikes on here I couldn't pass it up. I think it's destined for a fresh paint job and will be my around town bike.

Headed up to Charlotte to pick up a Paramount Series 7 frameset (ebay buy). While there, I did a quick check of C/L, and came across a nice Batavus Professional. Components are mainly Campy, with a few Shimano bits snuck in (derailleurs and shifters). The Batavus sat on C/L for a couple of days.

Got myself a birthday present and picked up a winter project. No calipers, and 1055 levers. Hmm.

How many are you looking for? I have a whole drawer of them at the coop. Of course the screws have been liberated, but I can probably piece them together.

E: These guys, right?

What the heck dumps are you guys going to? I guess I've only ever lived in cities where bikes pulled a premium. I thought I got a deal on a Motobecane Nomade once for $100 until I looked around and saw that other people had scored some for $20.
