Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Anyone own a Marin Nicasio+?

Anyone own a Marin Nicasio+?

Planning on checking one out tomorrow morning. Just curious how it rides on the road. All the reviews are on dirt and gravel. Thanks

If anyone is curious about this bike, it’s great. Picked it up this morning and the original owner told me he bought it to go with his mountain bike and it ended up being a little small for him. He rode it once and put it up for sale. Overall I can’t find anything negative about it, very nice budget bike for all terrains.

Nice bike nice fine and find. Is that a Brooks and did it come with that saddle? Marin bikes are so underrated,
And their gravel, Beyond road selection is one of the best.
I got my eye on a DSX and maybe a GESTALT X10. I just need to thin the herd first before buying any more bikes.
Also like the geometry, even though I'm in between sizes. Enjoy your new ride.

I own a Marin Hamilton 1x with a Sturmey-Archer 2 speed hub that is a really fun bike to ride around town.

Here is Path Less Pedaled giving a review.

I am used to compact cranks (46-30 or 50-34) and 11-34 at the back. I climb a lot and this gearing is good for me.

How would gear range on Nicasio+ compare to gearing above? How similar would I have climbing gear? And also the other side, top speed?
