What is your Fetish ?

I have come to realize that after my love of bicycles in general, that I have a pathological attraction to something that many of use take for granted and am quite sure that my fetish is more common than one would think.

You know you have a problem when you pour an extra cup of coffee and wander over to that den of iniquity called Disraeli Gears so you can be titillated once again by the wanton display of those curvy naked derailleurs.

I keep looking at this... I can't help myself.

https://www.disraeligears.co.uk/Site/...erailleur.html

So what is your fetish ?

Is it brakes ? Pedals ? Wheels ?

A combination of things ?

Edit: previous comment is gone.

I'm with Sixtey fiver, I like rear derailleurs. I like comparing the differences between the brands and years. I have a fair amount of orphan derailleurs because I just buy them whether I need it or not. Sometimes I sit around my bike stuff and just hold and examine the few favorites in my little collection.

I do enjoy a good hub. And perfectly wrapped bar tape.

I'm a little nuts about the wrapping of handlebars.
Not totally, but each side identical, evenly spaced, and no sloppy finish tape.

Tires that match, label on the drive side, centered on the valve stem.

Colored valve caps that match the bike would be a plus.

Self-extracting crank arm bolts.

Only one bottle cage per bike.

Removable chain links.

No gloves.

Pedals. Can't you just picture Rex Ryan's wife's bare feet on a pair of Superbe Pro quills.

For me, it's those incredibly sexy curves of non-aero brake housing.

racks, and I'm not saying that just because of the innuendo. I really love me some racks. I've always valued a good mix of form and function.

I'm a sucker for saddles, cranksets, and fenders.

Especially with cranksets, it's cool seeing modern ones, classic ones, antique ones, etc...

IGH Hubs...especially shiny chrome ones. I had a basket of them on the coffee table, but the interior decorator made me move them

Ha, I had to google "Rex Ryan's wife" to see what it means. I used to date a guy with a foot fetish, *used to* being the key tense here. Definitely not my thing.

I do share JYB's pedal fetish, though, in particular pedals and shiny toe clips with leather straps. I also have a thing about head badges and classic, well made lugs. I love them.
