Did Concord make decent bikes?
This Concord is listed online and looks very interesting. Triple crankset, 3 water bottle mounts and cantis. Price is cheap enough to go look at it, hopefully tomorrow when I get off work. Not much online about Concords, so did they ever produce upper level bikes, thanks.

Probably…. I can’t see if it has lowerider mounts but this would likely be in the class of the fabulous Fuji Touring Series and Saratoga

Thgat looks like it may be a mid-1980s Concord Royal Tour, If so, it is more lower mid-range, bordering on entrty level. Looks like this one may have a replacement rear wheel, as the axle is nutted. A couple of these have turned up on the forum in the past:

That’s why I ask here, I didn’t even catch that rear wheel. Thanks

That looks like a 40h rear wheel, so less likely a replacement.
Perhaps the bike's 10mm axle was replaced with solid, for greater resistance to flexing, bending, breaking?
Also, the wide alloy rims appear a perfect F/R match.
My older Concord has survived the ages, seems to have been very well-made:

That's only a 36 spoke rear wheel. Concords were contract manufactured in the USA, Japan and Taiwan, so the workmanship can vary depending on the contractor. Given the apparent era, the subject bicycle is almost certianly Asian built. I've seen the Royal Tour model from both Kuwahara and Giant but I also can't rule out Dodson, who was another known Concord contractor during this era.

There is nothing wrong with any Concorde, I had one that was made in Japan in the 70s and it was a very nice bike. Someone gave it to me for free who quit riding, I cleaned it up then gave it to someone who had their bike stolen and they love the bike. I am sure someone could ride one and it would last forever barring any sort of an accident.
