Suntour barcons...
I've got a Suntour Sprint 9000 RD, a silver Pro-Compe freewheel (14,15,17,19,21,24), and the barcons you see below. (They have 24 little micro-clicks, kind of cool.)
Are these components compatible?
3/32" chain, right?
If I want index shifting, what Suntour barcons would I need to obtain?

you should try these first and see if you like them, they're pretty fantastic.

Suntour indexing can be fussy...the ProCompe may not index properly. You'd need these barcons for 6 speed indexed.
As suggested, try the friction barcons. The Sprint 9000 is perfect for your freewheel range but it's overkill on a beater. You could use virtually any other derailleur and save that one for an accushift drivetrain when you get all the bits.

I would try out the barcons you you have they should work fine with they parts you have. Going to indexed would be a real hassle and you wouldn't gain much. The accushift suntour stuff isn't great all of the bikes I have riden with accushift shifted worse than the power shifter stuff and are exspecially bad with the longer cable run associated with barends.

Bummer.
Which 6-speed SunTour freewheels do index with the Sprint 9000?

Not certain, BarCons in the first photos are old school friction. 24 micro click is indicative of this friction shifter.
If so, they should have enough cable wrap to accommodate the range of the freewheel - in a friction mode only.

What, specifically, would make these two components incompatible?
Using rudimentary measurements, the Sprint 9000 has a throw range of about 48mm (compared to about 41mm for a regular Sprint RD). But, is this the factor that might make indexing unavailable? In inquiring noobie mind would like to know.
I understand that SunTour index shifting can be finicky, but I have accumulated a batch of Sprint components and am committed to building with this SunTour group. About the only thing I lack is the gray Accushift bar-cons, as mentioned in this thread. (I'm still on the hunt for them...if anyone has a set I'd welcome a let's make a deal PM!)

incazzare.
Until recently, I was using a set of those barcons with a Sprint RD. No problems. I'd just use it as is. I'm starting to prefer friction to indexed these days.

According to sheldon https://sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-spacing.shtml#k7fw
6-speed accushift used a FW with 5.5mm C-C spacing while regular (non-accushift) 6-speed freewheel (like yours) have a C-C spacing of 5.3mm. If you were to get a 6-speed accushift shifter, you would theoretically need to add 0.2mm spacer to each of the gaps. I dont think the sprint 9000 RD would care if the FW&shifters are 6 or 7 speed, so long as they are matched to each other.
I really like suntours old micro-ratchet, non-index bar ends. I have used them on a couple of recent cyclocross bikes and the lack of indexing is more than compensated for by thier rugged design, low maintanence needs and light shifting feel.

Plus, if you strip the rubber covers, you get nice, slender, sexy looking polished aluminum levers.

The other problem with Suntour indexing freewheels, is when they wear out, the NOS ones sell high, really high. I have used Shimano freewheels and got them to index, not great, but OK. In the end, friction is the way to go on the Suntour stuff.

Now which one is better? I have both shifters (micro-ratchet & accushift) and was considering using the black ones in friction mode for a touring bike.
