Yeah, I’d keep complaining to the selling shop for them to fix it, but I know that can be inconvenient and time consuming.
Once you’ve ruled out drivetrain noise— especially the front derailleur rub as mentioned upthread, since this is a crossover gear we’re talking about— the place I’d start looking is the chainring bolts. Make sure they’re snug.

Is the click always when your feet are in the same position? if so, that points to the front of the drive train (BB, chain rings, FD, cranks, pedals). If not, it's in the back or someplace else entirely.
clicks are almost as hard to find as creaks. The possibilities are numerous. The fact that it's gear specific only suggests that it's in the drive train. It could also be that it's only when you're in that gear that you are torquing the frame enough to incite a click someplace else.

Likely unrelated but when I got my bike last year, there was a machining defect on the Ultegra cassette. It took a really good eye, but sourced the clicking to a specific cog on the cassette. LBS swapped it out, and all was good.

My Bianchi clicked only on climbs and when putting the power down. Otherwise it was quiet. After endless checking I discovered the spokes (both wheels) clicked when I gave them a squeeze where they cross. Got out my spoke wrench and gave each a quarter turn and no more clicking.

i'll offer this up as a possibility since you don't specify if you are on the road or on a trainer. only recently did i mount my bike on a trainer and neglected to tighten the QR enough. it creaked only during hard efforts. tighten up and no creak.
