Vintage Fisher CR-7
What would be a fair market selling price on this bike?
Possibly looking at picking up a vintage Fisher CR-7. Ride for a while then possibly flip it Looks to be XT equipped. It even has some vintage Tioga City Slickers.
Supersize Tubing 7005 Aluminum, bolt-on rear triangle.
Waiting to find out his location.

It looks to have Rapidfire shifters. Hopefully they're not all gummed up and the tires still have a lot of life left.

The value is in the components. Not many people are looking for aluminum vintage mountain bikes, so the frameset is probably worth $50-$100. The components on top of it may add quite a bit.
If you plan to flip, parting it out would be how you get the most money. Assuming the hubs are XT as well as the shifters (can't tell from the photos), it's probably a $250, maybe $300, bike.

I'll refrain from commenting, as it speaks for itself, but I found this on on the "bay".

By the way, there are many articles and pictures of examples on the web. Interesting bike.

Either way, whether I keep or sell later, at the $40 asking I'm way ahead.

Oh yeah. At $40 asking, if it fits, it's a great beater bike if nothing else. If it doesn't fit, it's a decent guest bike or one for the kids to grow into or one to get rid of to make space for a new bike later in a, "well, I'm selling this old one to make room for the new one, so it's not like we're actually losing space or getting another bike. n still = n."

At $40.00 it is a no-brainer. And who knows, maybe you'll love the way it rides and will want to keep it. If the shifters seem wonky, spray some penetrating oil or WD-40 in them and drain. But you probably already know what to do if they seem sticky.

OP can list his at $2k, doesn't mean it's worth that.

I plan on keeping this one, at least for a while anyway. The wife just rolled her eyes. I mean, I only have 7 (8) complete bikes, and 1 parts bike. She says I have a problem.
I said I do...I can't pass up a cheap bike.. Somehow I'm becoming a collector of old bikes....
I don't have a lot of money tied up in these bikes. Tell me I'm wrong to buy these. Only a couple needed minor work and they are all rideable.
Even the parts bike rode well until I stripped it down.
My purchase prices
GT STS DH - $100
Raleigh Grand Prix - $75
Trek Alpha 3700 - $10
Fisher Montare - $45
KHS XC 504R - $25
Revolution E-Stay - $75
Diamondback Sorrento - $15 (for parts)
Fisher CR-7 - $40 (pending pick up)
Misc. vintage parts (Manitou, Salsa, Odyssey, WTB) $75
