Mid 70s Raleigh Sports
I'll be putting this bike up for sale soon and wanted some learned opinions about what it may bring. It is a nice, mostly original Raleigh Sports with relatively low use. Hub is dated 3-75. Brooks saddle is nice for it's age. Thanks.

Where I live in North Carolina, I can't give away Raleigh 3 speeds (OK, technically I can give them away, as I donated the last one to the co op). We have a lot of hills here in Western Carolina, and people want more gear choices, a lighter bike, and better brakes. Now in an urban environment, there may be a market.

In the Boston market, I’ve had similar men’s Sports sit forever on CL at $75. Now I just give them away to co-workers. Ymmv.

Really nice bike - better than a lot that sell cheap
They pretty much all sell cheap
$75 is probably the number - but that is also the number just for the Brooks
sure seems like condition/functional value should make it $150 - but from what I have seen they sit - or get bought for the Brooks and re-listed with generic seat at same price
I would likely swap the seat and keep the Brooks, or sell it separately

Definitely keep the B72 saddle. Commuted to school and work back in the early 80's on a 1969 Sports. Bought for $35 & Sold for $35 in 1986 when we moved. It had a well worn, heavy leather saddle with softer, deep indentations which perfectly matched my nether regions & was easily the most comfortable I ever sat upon. Will always regret not keeping that saddle. $35 adjusted for inflation is $126.72 but agree will sit at $75
