Quentin Bicycles?

I'm looking at picking up a Quentin road bike that a guy is getting rid of. He's asking $125 but says he's flexible on the price. The problem is that I've never heard of Quentin bicycles before. After searching through the archives on BF, I found this thread:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...hlight=quentin

But no one replied to the post, so I thought I'd throw the question out once again...does anyone know anything about these bikes?

The seller says that it's an old 10sp, but doesn't know the year. Any help would be much appreciated.

Quentin is/was a bicycle parts and bicycle wholesale business in illinois,I think in the chicago suburbs. They did sell bikes branded Quentin,I do not know who made them.I see them from time to time, all I have seen have been lower end bikes.

+1 Private label bike, very little if any resale value. But if it is a long term keeper, looks like a decent bike. Consider Nashbar sells private label bikes, as did Performance bike at one time. But the resale is really low. This can help you on negotiating the purchase!
