Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The picture doesn't make it as obvious as I'd hoped, but check out the bars and brake levers on the bike closest the camera. I'm still trying to work out what he was trying to achieve.

Not to mention, the "front break" actually appears to be a rear brake in the picture.

Alright, alright, WTF? Is my coffee filled with stupid sauce this morning, or am I blind? Is it because that one kid has a TT helmet?

Dude, can you not see that all the other little kids are just regular little kids on regular little kid bikes?

That was the first thing I noticed. It just struck me like that kid was more into it than the other kids and the parents were willing to spring for the snazzy bike and kit. Do you suspect that there is some "Beauty Pagent Parent Syndrome" involved there?

I'll bet the little girl on the blue bike with the helmet tilted down over her eyes smokes him.

I also wondered if it was meant to be the parent who was allowing that little girl to "race" in a skirt. That could end badly.
