I have owned 5 sets of Hunts and while they are great for what you pay especially when you factor in customer service in the UK and even US, I will say they are pretty rubbish. I had two of my sets develop cracks at the nipple, granted Hunt US did an amazing job getting me replacements really with no questions asked. They would send me new pairs before my defective pairs were sent back by using my credit card as a deposit. I was responsible for boxing the wheels, which was easy if you kept the original box. Trust me save at least one wheel box because it's actually insanely hard to find boxes those size and to their specific thickness/strength. Hunt will send you a prepaid label.

Beyond my experience, I have read countless stories of failed bearings, cracked carbon, blow offs and complete carbon explosions with tubeless. So for me Hunt has become kind of like Zipp but just direct to consumer in that, these aren't the best wheels but how much does customer service or warranty matter to you? If you want to call the manufacture and get your issue resolved quickly and keep swapping pairs than yeah there is something to be said for Hunt and especially Zipp or any big name brand that has a very generous or lifetime warranty, but IMO for what you are getting with Hunt you simply can do better with direct to consumer Chinese wheels now. I 100% would buy Winspace Hypers over any Hunt.

I don't know what those Limitless Gravel Wheel (steel bearings) were on sale at but those retail for $1600 and have $28 shipping and Hunt a year back started to charge tax, so for most people that's a $1760 wheel all in. Something like the Lun Grapid 700 Wheelset are $800 shipped with the same 25mm internal width but are 38mm vs 42mm deep, however the Luns weigh 135g less at $960 less

This is my second set. I havnt had any bad experiences with my first set, I was even in a bad crash on the first ride with them.
Lifetime warranty was huge, and the specs of the wheels were exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the advice on keeping the box, I threw the first one out, I will def keep this one.

While I wouldn't put HUNT and ZIPP in the same category, I agree with the rest of your statement. Customer service seems to be great and this is something that I value most now in my life. I would buy a cheaper product from a manufacturer that offers a great customer service rather than buy a high end product from a manufacturer that treats its clients like crap.

Hunt offers a good price/quality ratio, but it's definitively not the best wheel manufacturer. Anyone that's not looking for ultimate efficiency and aero gains should consider them.

Bought a pair of X-Tiger gel padded cycling shorts (not-bibs: GASP!) for the trainer and did a 2 hour test run yesterday, and the sit bone areas were not sore in the least. This was a first. (I find bibs make me feel even more hot, so shorts work better for me).

Rode them for the first time this morning. Hub is very quiet and very quick to engage. I don’t know the weight of my stock wheels, but the bike is noticeable lighter and quicker at accelerating.

Most of the water along the bike path I ride along you don't want to eat the fish out of.
If you did want to eat a fish, I've cooked lots of fish on a stick over a small fire. So I carry salt😎

So my son borrowed my small torque wrench, left it on the back of his truck bed cover, as he drove off, and he went around the corner, he saw it slide off the cover and smash on the ground. It was in the case and he was like, it looks ok, just the case was damaged. I told him he owed me $65, he argued with me on that. So I took his $65 and offset the cost of the Park Tool TW-5.2 torque wrench.
