As for the crank, if I upgrade it will be superbe pro or vintage dura ace, with a corresponding rear derailleur. Probably won't happen any time soon if I decide to go through with my MTB project.

Old porsches are sweet. If I had the patience I would try to find a 944 turbo, but I hear they're not easy or cheap to work on. The m3 on the other hand is ridiculously easy to work on, and surprisingly affordable.

Dude, I am already a member, #212, and here is my latest steel Centurion Prestige, 56cm. I love this bike:
Mavic Open 4 on Mavic 501 hubs, 28/32, Shimano 105 Biopace 52/42 group, Specialized BG Avatar saddle and Shimano barcons with rear index. I have new light blue cable set for it but I had already wrapped the bar and so I will wait until the tape is showing some wear and then install the new cables, these are still in decent shape anyways. Regina America aluminum free wheel, 126mm spacing, I did not want to spread the heat treated and hardened Prestige steel. I do want a nicer seat post for it and the cf Bell, Wall Mart, water cage, six dollars beats the similar version at the LBS at nearly fifty dollars. Tires???? Maybe Conti GP4000?

So I haven't been on here in a long while but I just had to post this steel ride I picked up today! It's a Fuji Team, True Temper OX Gold w/an Ultegra triple group. Went out and road it this afternoon, very nice ride. The guy put a Cinelli Grammo stem on there which I will probably keep on there. The things that need to be addressed are a new saddle, different (wider) bars, a new headset and put some proper road pedals on after I get some new cleats. Wheels are built up with Reflex rims. Not sure if I will keep the triple set-up, I've always been perfectly happy with a 53x39 set-up...but we'll see. Of course, as I started riding in the 80's, I have a penchant for steel bikes so I'm pretty excited! Good to be back btw!

Bianchi is currently stripped to the frame, everything that can be taken apart and cleaned/relubricated has been gone over. New brake pads, cables, shift cables, cable housings, bar tape, chain, brake hoods, full re-adjustment is in the works.

30 pages and I think I have the first Ross! It's a Ross Professional Gran Tour. I've never been able to find out how old it is but I know it's a 92-94 model. And don't forget the sweet leather seat! Guy makes them just like Brooks does, unbelievably comfortable. I feel like I'm on my couch when I'm out riding. (and yes, I have fixed the seat angle. Thank god. )
