Garage Bike Storage
I am sure this topic is extensively discussed, but no amount of searching I do (either through the forum search box, or Google) brings anything of substance. I am looking for the most space efficient way to store up to 10 bikes in a garage. What do you do?
SO, can you either direct me to the best threads discussing this, or comment here with your solutions?
Many thanks in advance!

I use the ceiling pulley for bikes or frames in long term storage and for shorter term I use what Harbor Freight calls a cycle tree which hold 4 bikes in about 16 square feet. It's on rollers so it tucks into a 4 ft space and then rolls out to place or remove bikes.

Avoid using plastic covers as it catches /retains moisture that can cause corrosion on your bike. An old, thin blanket would be a better choice, just to keep the dust and dirt off the bike.

Depends how many bikes. I have a lot, so my approach is to mount a piece of 1/2 inch conduit perpendicular to the ceiling joists, then use vinyl coated hooks to hang bikes, frames, and wheels. By far the cheapest option I have found if you are trying to store quite a few

I bought a "Cycle Tree" from Harbor Freight a couple of years ago that holds 6 bikes in a small footprint plus the caters allow you to move the entire rack if needed. Cost about $32 if you use one of their 20% off coupons.

You can easily hang 15 bikes along a 10 foot length of pipe, which can be attached directly to overhead floor joists.
I made a tool for bending up to 3/8" steel rod, but 40-pounds will hang safely from hooks made from 3/16" steel rod if the bend radious doesn't exceed 5/8". The 3/16" rod hooks are toward the right in this photo, while the thicker ones might hold a small motorcycle.

Pipe is a lot stronger than conduit, so I have to attach the conduit to every other ceiling joist.

Kobalt K-rail and the bike hooks to the wall. Holds em nice and steady and you can close pack them. Prolly about $40 total at Home Depot. Expandable too.

My rafters are spaced 2' OC, so I hang a bike from each one, upside down, using two bicycle storage hooks.
