Asking $900! Seems a bit high but it is pretty sweet. I’ve never ridden an oversized tubing vintage steel bike and I’m very curious. I’m sure many here can chime in with their ride quality reviews.

I'd need to see more/better pictures before going anywhere near that price range, but that's just me and my budget.

Yes I was thinking around 5-600 as well. If it was Japanese built it would be $200, maybe $300 with dura ace.

Poor photo doesn’t tell much. Condition of components is a big piece of the value.
Is it full Dura Ace, including hubs, headset and seatpost?
Tubulars or clinchers?
Is the Rolls saddle in good condition?
Brake hoods for both 7 and 8 speed levers are virtually impossible to find and $$$ when located. Etc.
Most important- does it fit you?

Hi,
Appears to be a Waterford build with True Temper OS tubing. Crummy picture certainly doesn’t justify the price. These ride a little nicer than the Columbus tubed frames. Have to agree with others, ~$500 if actually pristine.

Looks very nice but only $400-$500 nice to me. On this model of Paramount, I think the down tube 7400 shifting will keep the value sub $500. My opinion.

The price seems too high to me. There are a lot of nice bikes for about half that amount , but if you think it’s worth it …..

I have a PDG. They are great riding bikes.
I agree with above.............. pricing 500- 600.
Few years ago, probably could have gotten close to 800.

I’m going to look at it hopefully today. See what kind of shape the components are in etc. I’ll report back.
I’m not buying as an investment obviously but in your opinion is this going to worth $1k in ten years or $200? Just curious which direction these are heading?

One small scratch on one brake lever. Hoods are good! It’s a ‘91 Waterford.

Vintage bikes are heading down right now, could start heading up tomorrow. Who knows? If you are looking for an investment, IMO, bikes or any other collectible are not the way to go. Collectibles in my experience can go up, and can go down. Part of the collectible market is demographics. As the people into that stuff die off, their collections become available and fewer collectors remain.
Collectibles I bought 50 years ago are worth less today than they worth back then. Factor in inflation, and it's horrible.
Anyone who can predict the future need to either buy lottery tickets or stock options, probably both.

Didn’t see any mention of size for this bike. I have a bike with the same frameset. It’s 580 which is actually a 56cm square when measured CTC. I got it as a work-in-progress after the PO had lost interest & some of the original parts. It’s been rebuilt with new consumables & mostly period correct parts. It is a 56, my size. I’m thinking about selling my full carbon ultegra and going for it. We’ll see he still needs to come down a bit. I’ve never had a bike with dura ace or high end campy, I’d like to try.

I paid 300 plus shipping for this 91 Waterford OS Paramount frame on eBay, then put way more then 600 into it. Not sorry, great ride!

More than anything about the OP price, my problem is that the conformation is not what I'd want it to be and, like you, I'd spend much more getting it into the way I want it to be. Usually, I only buy framesets because otherwise, I'm paying for a bunch of stuff that'll just go into my parts bin.

Me I look for very good whole bikes that have great frame sets in my size that are in near basket case condition. Fairly easy to pic up $300-400 frame set under $100.
